Serving the East Texas Region
for more than a Quarter of a Century
This exciting event was started in 1982 by Dale Clark and Gene Brady, owners of Longview Marine, and volunteers for the Longview Chamber of Commerce. Early on, the event featured primarily boats and yachts from dealers within the community.
Today, the Expo is the largest boat and travel Expo east of I-35. More than 150 boats, 100 RV/travel trailers, and ATVs and motorcycles from East Texas are on exhibit during the three day event.
In addition to the Expo, there are interactive activities such as KidsFish Tank, special exhibits and live entertainment with special guests.
As always, the expo will offer several new attractions, including:
Bubble runners are inflatable balls people can crawl inside. Once someone is inside the ball, it is filled with air and sealed with an airtight and watertight zipper. Then, that ball is rolled in inflatable pools - and the occupant can run around like a hamster without getting wet.
A four-pod bungee trampoline is an unique attraction tht will allow participants to easily and quickly sour to new heights. The pods are filled with air, which allows them to function as mini-moonwalks for expo visitors who want to rise to the occasion.
Camel Rides are usually found only in faraway exotic lands. But now, East Texas youngsters and their parents will get the chance to enjoy this unique form of transportation right here in Longview.
Longhorn rides also will be available at the expo. Let your youngsters climb aboard these special animals for an unforgettable ride.
Returning Attractions:
Clowns also will be returning once again to entertain specators and display their balloon art. Johnny Cace's Seafood and Steakhouse will serve food and beverages at Maude Cobb and the Exhibit Hall.
The East Texas Outdoor Expo provides the perfect venue for families from across Texas to have a one-stop shopping experience for their outdoor recreational needs. Nearly 10,000 attendees are expected over the weekend.
